Preschool Speech and Language Services

Preschool Speech and Language Services, offered through One Kids Place in North Bay,  provide speech and language services in the Districts of Muskoka and Parry Sound. The department employs a speech-language pathologist, a communicative disorders assistant and a support staff person to service the District of Muskoka.

Clinical speech services are offered to preschool children (from infancy to 5 years).
Speech-Language services include: assessment, one to one therapy, small group therapy, home programming, parent training and consultation with other agencies.

The CDS department is also involved in non-clinical activities to promote public awareness of communication problems, communication development and the prevention of communication difficulties.

Referral for speech and language services can be made by anyone - parents, doctors, caregivers, Infant Development workers, resource teachers, etc.
