Health Connection

NOTICE: All SMDHU offices and our Health Connection line will be closed the following days:

  • Tuesday, Dec 24 (closes at noon)
  • Wednesday, Dec 25
  • Thursday, Dec 26
  • Friday, Dec 27 (except for the 80 Bradford St., Barrie office and the Health Connection line, which will remain open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Water testing bottles will not be accepted on office closure days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Health Connection is staffed by nurses and public health inspectors who can help you get the information and advice you need, and connect you with community programs and services.

We can answer your questions about:

  • common illnesses and infections
  • well water testing, and more.

We can connect you with:

  • prenatal classes and parenting programs
  • quit smoking workshops
  • immunization clinics
  • sexual health clinics
  • inspectors for safe food and water, and more.
