2024 Infant Feeding Survey

From October 21st to November 15th, Public Health Nurses will be reaching out to a randomly selected group of parents with infants aged six to 12 months, inviting them to take part in our Infant Feeding Survey. Over 1,100 parents across Simcoe Muskoka will be contacted to share their experiences with infant feeding. Your participation will help us better understand local feeding practices and improve services to support parents and babies in our community. Below are answers to common questions about the survey

Calls are being made from October 21st – November 15th, 2024.
When your child was born, the hospital staff or midwife asked for your consent to share information about you and your baby with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.  This year the random sample of approximately 1100 families from Simcoe Muskoka who currently have babies between the ages of six and 12 months will be contacted
No. When you are called, you will be asked for your consent to participate in the survey. Participation is voluntary and your decision will not affect the services you receive from the health unit

Yes. Your survey responses are entered into a privacy protected electronic survey. The file with the contact information for everyone in the random sample is deleted after all surveys are completed.

This review is performed by qualified staff not involved in the survey's design or development, ensuring an unbiased evaluation. The review checks that the survey questions and procedures comply with provincial legislation.
