This interactive breastfeeding mini-course provides "need-to-know" information for those who work with pregnant women who are at risk of not breastfeeding. The course will take 1 - 1½ hours to complete.

This course is an entry-level course designed for staff and volunteers of community agencies that work with prenatal women who are at risk of not breastfeeding. Completing this course will help you to protect, promote and support breastfeeding and be a positive influence on pregnant women making their infant feeding decision. People wishing to learn more about breastfeeding can follow the links provided in the course. For those wishing to learn about breastfeeding management check out breastfeeding courses at www.infactcanada.ca and your local colleges.

This web course is currently being adapted by Best Start by Health Nexus (Ontario's Maternal, Newborn and Early Child Development Resource Centre), who will be taking over the management of the course, and making it available on their web site (www.healthnexus.ca) in the near future. In the meantime, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit continues to offer this course via our website, but we are unable to continue to provide certificates of completion, or the opportunity to complete an evaluation form. Sorry for any inconvenience.
