PREGNANT WOMEN AT RISK OF NOT BREASTFEEDING
Why Focus on Pregnant Women?
Research suggests that close to half of women make their infant feeding decision prior to pregnancy, and half make the decision during early pregnancy. By providing pregnant women, particularly those at risk of not breastfeeding, with breastfeeding education and support, we will further increase breastfeeding initiation and duration rates and improve the health outcomes for all women and children.
