PREGNANT WOMEN AT RISK OF NOT BREASTFEEDING

What About the Children?

Researchers have identified breastfeeding as especially important for children of economically disadvantaged women and adolescents. Since infants of low-income women are at a higher risk for health problems, breastfeeding provides a natural safety net that gives these children greater opportunity to be as healthy as possible.
