Infection Prevention and Control

Infectious diseases are caused by germs that enter the body of a person vulnerable to that germ.  Germs can be passed person to person when the germ is able to leave the sick persons body and enter another person.  This process is known as the chain of transmission.  To prevent others from getting sick, steps can be taken to break this chain.
