Public Health Dietitians

Public health dietitians provide information and support food and nutrition in the community.  To contact us call 1-877-721-7520 or visit our Health Connection webpage.  

Dietitians in Hospitals

Contact your local hospital and inquire about the services of a Registered Dietitian.  

Eating Disorder Services

The North Simcoe Healthline services Muskoka District, Midland, Penetanguishene & Area, Orillia & Area, Collingwood & Area and Barrie & Area. Check out the services available to North Simcoe Muskoka residents.

The Central Healthline services South Simcoe as well as York Region, North York, Etobicoke and York-Toronto. Check out the services available to South Simcoe residents through the Central Healthline. For more information on eating disorders visit National Eating Disorder Information Centre

Family Health Teams

Family Health Teams are available throughout Ontario to provide access to healthcare services and a team of health professionals, including Registered Dietitians. Contact your doctor to find out if their practice is part of a Family Health Team, and if the services of a Registered Dietitian are available.

Community Health Centres

Community Health Centres provide primary care, health promotion, education and illness prevention services using a community development approach. A variety of health care professionals, including Registered Dietitians, work at Community Health Centres.

Find out if there is a Community Health Centre near you. 

Home Care 

Clients receiving homecare may qualify for services from a Registered Dietitian at the Home and Community Care.  

Diabetes Education Program

Find a diabetes education program near you. Diabetes education programs offer individual and group education and support to individuals and families who are living with diabetes and include support provided by Registered Dietitians. 

Private Practice Registered Dietitians
You can search for other Registered Dietitians working in our region using the Find a Dietitian feature on the Dietitians of Canada website. The services of Registered Dietitians is often covered through private, employer benefit programs – check with your benefit provider to see what you are eligible for.

Community Programs

Find community Food and Nutrition Programs, such as cooking classes, food banks, free meals or food delivery programs by calling, or texting 211. You can also reach 211 by live chat or email.
