Immunization

Immunization information for Child Care Operators in licensed child care settings

Child Care Operators are required under the Child Care and Early Years Act to collect and submit a current immunization record to the health unit, for each preschool child attending all day childcare. The operator must also keep a copy of the record.

If a parent chooses not to immunize, the Child Care Operator must direct the parent to contact the health unit to discuss and obtain the appropriate paperwork.
