How can a Hospital become Baby-Friendly™?
The “Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding” are the foundation of the WHO/UNICEF Baby-Friendly™ Hospital Initiative. The steps summarize the maternity practices necessary to support breastfeeding. Hospitals can move towards Baby-Friendly™ designation by ensuring that their maternity practices are consistent with the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and by endorsing The Code.
